PURPOSE:

Our Administrative Care Coordinator Unit (ACCU) is available to provide short term care coordination for all individuals who have Maryland Medical Assistance.  Our office is staffed with five registered nurses available to help you learn about your coverage and benefits.  We receive referrals from doctors and other health care providers when additional assistance is needed to help their patients access needed health care.

WHAT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE?

We can help newly eligible recipients with HealthChoice and selecting an MCO.

We can help already established recipients with their health care needs.

We keep a current list of all doctors, dentists, and specialists who participate with MCOs.

If you receive a bill or are declined a covered service, we can explain your appeal and grievance rights.

We can explain eligibility guidelines for Maryland Medical Programs and help with applying.

We can link you to other Medicaid services you may need.

WE CAN HELP WITH THE FOLLOWING COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

I don’t have my cards.  How can I get them?
