Cecilia Pittman began her employment at the Allegany County Health Department on June 23, 2008 as a contractual employee in the position of WOC Receptionist. It did not take long to realize the valuable staff member Cecilia had become to the Physical Health Division. In January 2010, Cecilia then moved into the position of clerical support for the HIV Case Management Program, and became a Merit employee on June 2, 2010.
Cecilia provides valuable support to the HIV Case Management Program Nurses. She has streamlined processes and procedures in organizing the program - continuously recommending new ideas for improvement. She has an excellent rapport with the program’s clients.
Cecilia is, also, very supportive of her supervisor. Her leadership experience is a great asset to the Clinical Services Unit which has undergone much change in the past several years. During times of changes in staffing with downsizing of the units, Cecilia has willingly taken on Family Planning billing when asked without hesitation. She is a valuable member of the clerical staff providing coverage at the WOC Reception Desk, often times unexpectedly at the “last minute.” She is always willing to assist others when needed and take on special assignments. Additionally, Cecilia serves as the backup biller for Multipurpose Immunization Clinics. She is a team player who takes the initiative to take on new duties to benefit the program, clients and Health Department.
Cecilia’s strong faith, values, and professionalism are reflected in her work every day. Since she began her employment at the Health Department, she has set a positive example with her attendance and punctuality which is an asset to this busy clinical department.
Cecilia is an outstanding employee deserving of the “Employee of the Month” due to her hard work and dedication to the Allegany County Health Department.
