Our Mission Statement
We help individuals and families affected by drug/alcohol abuse, thereby improving the quality of community life.

The Allegany County Health Department Outpatient Addictions Program provides treatment services to individuals and families affected by chemical dependency and chemical abuse.
We believe it is our responsibility to respond to the needs of the community. It is our role to help identify the need for our services within the community, and provide quality treatment.
We believe crisis often pressures individuals and families into seeking treatment. We view a crisis as an opportunity to break through the denial that is part of the disease process. We, therefore, strive to offer treatment services at the time of request.
Chemical-dependent individuals and families often present a variety of needs. We consider it to be part of our role to identify client needs that cannot be met by our program, and to make appropriate referrals to community resources.
It is the goal of the program to assist individuals and families to recover from the negative effects of substance abuse. Further, it is our goal to improve the quality of community life by reducing the incidence and prevalence or problems in the community caused by or associated with substance abuse.
